Statement of Faith

Hickory Street Baptist Church is an independent, fundamental baptist church.

We believe in the inerrant, plenary inspiration of the Word of God, the Bible. That its completed revelation is our sole source of faith and conduct.

We believe in the One, True God, in three Persons, as revealed in Scripture, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  We believe He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things.

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, substitutionary death, burial, and bodily resurrection from the dead.

We believe all men are sinners, separated from a holy God. We believe in a personal salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

We believe the Christian is called to a life of holiness, trusting in the power of the Holy Spirit to aid the process of sanctification.

We believe Jesus is coming again soon to rapture His church, the dead and the living.
